In mood of the month!

It's the time of year to list what we are thankful for, and even though I feel there is no way that much has changed this year since I can't even remember where it went..I am sure there are some changes!
Also...for the first time, I am going to ask Bryant what he is thankful for so stay tuned for quotes and videos of his answers!

As for me.... I am thankful for:

1. My job. It drives me insane half the time, but having a boss that lets me make my own hours and stay home with Bryant 2 days a week and lets me bring him in the mornings is a blessing.
Granted, some days are mor hectic than others and it is way harder to work with a 4 year old in the house, it is so nice to take those breaks and do something together or run ad get McDonalds at lunch. I am extremely thankful I get that time with him and can't imagine how it would be if I was still at PSC and Bryant was still at the baby sitter 11 hours a day... :(
Hats off to all the stay-at-home Mom's and what a blessing it must be to be with them 5 days a week.

Bryant's first answer:

1.For you (Mommy). I asked "Why?". "Because I am. Can you turn Lazy Town back on??? Plllllease!"

Not sure what to make of that. I was expecting something way more random......

Quick update...

Morning,

Going to get in a few words before a hectic Saturday.

Simba is here and is way better, thats awesome. I took a bunch of pictures, but I uploaded them at work, so they are there, so I will post them later.

Bryan is at a fising tournament this weekend. He left Thursday morning and will be back tonight some time. So, he's where he wants to be this weekend, lol. He doesn't get a lot of time to fish and golf anymore, so when he does, it is usally for two or three days.

Next weekend we are getting our pictures made at the Arboretum. I am so excited. All the pumpkins and stuff are out ad I love all that stuff! I hope they turn out good! They girl that does them is soooo awesome.
If you are in the Dallas area and are looking for a great photographer, visit her website @ www.amykarp.com .

We are going to Round Rock the 18th for Logan's 5th birthday. I want to go on Friday morning and go to Austin. There is this IMAX movie I really want to see and it shows in Austin (not Dallas)....
http://www.grandcanyonadventurefilm.com/
So... I am hoping I can drag Bryan away from work long enough to leave and we can go down there and see that and camp somewhere that night, now that the weather is a bit cooler. That would be nice.

What else? The next weekend we have a Halloween party.. haven'e even started the costumes for us, so will probably end up running out at the last minute and buy one. All that will be left is a XXL Gumby I'm sure.

Other than that... not sure where the time goes or why the months go by so fast.

Love,
Cort.

That is one upset cat!

So... Simba is home now and he got here last Thursday night.

This is most definitely the most upset I have EVER seen a cat (or any other kind of animal).

He has been in Utah since he was a kitten and hasn't been anywhere else, so of course an all day flight from Utah to Dallas was traumatic... but really, is it worth staying behind the washer for 4 days??? He is NOT HAPPY.

But, the clouds have parted and he has finally emerged (no doubt about to starve), to get some well missed loving and food and water. 'Bout time Simba... welcome to the fam!!

I will put pictures up soon, but didn't want to ruin the one good day with bright flashes. That poor cat would be under a bed for another 2 days! LOL

What else?? Bryant is going to be Frankenstein for Halloween. Tell me why I have to compromise with my 3 (almost 4, eekk) year old? He can dish out a serious argument with reasons and all. Wears me out.

Anyway... I am starting with this and will work from there.

Join my Mocha Club!

What's going on and what's coming up.

Well... I have done some updating on the site and figured Ishould update everyone on what has been going on.

We are finally moved and setteled and I have discovered more than Wal-Mart, ha. Lancaster is a nice spot to live. They have a brand new recreation center we are considering joining with a really cool swim area with a spot for toddlers and a 2 story slide and some other neat stuff. The have all those cool classes you can do to and if we join as a family we get to do them for free. They have a really big gym wth child care, so that would be awesome. Right now I consider running after Bryan my "workout".
They are always doing stuff. Last weekend we missed the Music Fest, and this weekend was an Airbird parade of a bunch of old planes and stuff. It's got a cool, small town atmosphere we enjoy.
We are welcoming "Simba" next Thursday. Simba is Bryan's sister's cat. They are moving to England and can't take the cat, so he is flying in on Thursday and we'll go pick him up. Ought to be interesting to see what Tucker does. Tucker is pretty much a sissy and really needy. He is pretty protective of Bryant and me to. He may not like the idea of another animal in the house, but he'll get used to it I imagine. He also has an appointment the next Tuesday to get neautered, so he should be pretty upset over the next couple of weeks.

I am in turmoil over Bryant's halloween costume this year. The past 3 years it has been so easy to pick what he is and I am so excited about making it, but this year, not so much. He actually has an opinion this year, lol. He has wanted to be a monster for awhile... "What kind of monster?" , I ask him. One day he says a green one, the next a blue one, etc, etc.

Then one day he told me he didn't want to be a monster, but Caillou instead.

I thought I would re-cap the halloween costumes from the past 3 years.

2005

2006

2007 So... I am working on Frankenstein right now. I hope it doesn't change because Bryan and I have a halloween party on the 25th and I have to make something for myself to.

Anyway, that is about what is going on with us. Not a whole lot. Gearing up for the holidays. I drug out all the fall stuff last weekend and put it out. This time of year is always bittersweet to me. I love fall, but I hate to see summer go...

Hope everyone is doing good!

Bad Link!

I realized I forgot to change the name of the link to the pictures from our vacation. I also repeated them when I uploaded them. I will fix all that this weekend hopefully. Need more time, that's for sure.

Also... We are looking forward to Bryan's sister and family visiting for a week before they head to England to live. Yay!

We are going to go to Six Flags, which I am super excited about since I haven't been since high school!! Other than that, nothing huge planned except to spend some quality time together!

Pudding

Morning.
Just a funny story about Bryant.
We were at church yesterday morning and Bryant has to sit in the service with us and he was repeating the sermon (parts of it) that he liked and the preacher said, "When you were thirsty I gave you a drink." Bryant said, "When I'm thirsy, you gave me a drink," to me. Then the preacher said, "When you were naked, I gave you clothing." Bryant said, "Pudding! You gave me pudding!" Everyone laughed at him.... :)
Goofy boy.

We've Moved!

Hello!
Since our last post, we have been on vacation to New Mexico, and Utah. We drove and made a lot of stops along the way. I put a link to the album on the website of the pictures... ENJOY!
Also... we have moved to Lancaster. Bryan started a new project at UT Arlington and so we have moved there to be closer and more accessible to both of our jobs.
Bryant is 3 1/2 going on sixteen. He knows what he needs to drive (turn 16, a drivers license, a car...and told by me, a job) :)
He is doing really well counting to ten, when he wants and even in Spanish! He is learning a lot everyday and such a sponge!

We have friends that are having babies left and right and ones that are getting a little older, so it's fun to see our friends go through and enjoy what we have and for Bryant to start to have little friends.
Things are good and hectic for us and we hope the same for you!

Love,
Cortney

March- Whoa what a month!

March was a whirl wind! We celebrated 7 birthdays of friends and family members. That was enough. But Bryant's was on the 11th, and Paige and the kids got here that day as well. They were here for about 3 weeks. They had a nice, long visit I think (three weeks... yeah they did!).
Bryant had a great birthday and so did I. Bryant's party was pirate themed, and that was a lot of fun, since I have been wanting to do one for voer a year. It was over kill, as usual. Next year...it's McDonalds or a simple birthday cake and balloons for me. We'll see. . .

Later in the month, my PaPaw had surgery to insert a feeding tube. Surgery went well. All the prayers and everything had a hand. Thanks to all who said one.

Bryan is really busy at work, and they took the crane down on the job last week. He will be working on University of Texas at Arlington in a couple of months. We are happy to be staying in the area, and are looking for houses to move in to.

Hope everyone is doing good, and everyone had a nice Easter.Sorry everything is so late. As usual.... things are about a month behind.

Love,
Cortney

U*P*D*A*T*E

Hello All-

Been to long! I see now I have missed major holidays...ha. Sorry.

Where to start?

Halloween Bryant was ELVIS. It was fantastic! I loved his costume, and he actaully got into it (as mush as he understood). We went trick-or-treating at all (or most) of our family and friends places. Everyone got a kick out of it and we had a really special time I think.
----------------------------
Thanksgiving was great to. We cooked and cooked and cooked some more seems like. When your in a small kitchen, it probably seems like a lot more than it actually is. Bryant gets into cooking and it was really neat to have it be a family activity this year. Seems like it only gets better and better.
---------------------------------
Christmas was unbelievable. It made me truely understand about how Christmas is for kids this year. Bryant had so much fun...making it so much fun for Bryan and I.
We did a lot of neat things like the trains at Northpark, the City Lights and tree lighting ceremonies downtown. It has been fun to live in Dallas this year and be so close to things going on. Dallas is a great place to be during the holidays for sure.
It was a magical time of year and can't wait to see how much better it gets next year. :)
------------------------------------------
The New Year was fun... safe... the important things. I can't beleive already it is February and how much quicker it really gets when you have a child. Eekk....
I will attach pictures later and will get some new stuff on the site.
We miss you all and think of you often.
